A test of hope

Sometimes i wonder whether it's all worth it
To put yourself out there to the test
To try to reach others benchmarks
So you may fit in and speak like the rest

Sometimes it takes a toll on you
A burden, and it becomes hard to care
It eats your heart and once that’s done
You have no more to share

Sometimes all you have is hope
And hope is such a fragile little thing
Today it makes you cry with joy
Tomorrow it could throw you in the ring

Nah, I wouldn't trust that little bugger
I have clung on to his smiles
I spoke to him and began a journey
I did not expect ten thousand miles

I wonder, sometimes, am I am weak
Have I lost the will to will a fight?
Was there ever an issue at all with the world
Or was i simply blind?

So brohers and sisters, nothing is obvious
Or as simple or cute as it seems
i know that we are all not different
cause we all feel the same things

Our hearts love together as one
We may not look or be the same
Classes, Societies, People divide us
And our minds sometimes put us to shame

I don't know where we are going,
I don’t know how it will end
I don’t remember when this story began
But without you it may end

But stop! Don’t listen to this fool
All he sees is love and hope
He’s simplistic, simple and a simpleton
And hope seems to love someone
