A eulogy to a human being

do not ask the poor if they love
for in their love is a mighty torrent
that gushes forth when there is but a stream

do not ask the poor if they are pained
for along with the cetainity of an iron will
it is this thats been their companion

do not ask the poor if they want more
for in their needs lies our trivialty
it is this that makes them think about the rest

do not ask the poor if they feel any less
for in their wants lies a little less greed
and in our needs lies a little less sobriety
