it's the kind that gives because it expects
it is calculative and manipulative
and is not pure
for it seeks to weaken the ties that endure

my love is not real
its hard, its foolish and its unkind
its love for a reason
its the quantifying kind

my love is not worth giving
for sharing only makes it worse
it's the tit- for- tat kind that goes around
in trying to make the world flat
and that's not nice, when we aren't all about that.
