An elegy to The Unsung Hero

The silence was broken by a throaty growl
And people boycotted all in crowds
It was a dream of everyone to be free
Hence in 1942 we went on a 'Quit India' spree.

People died and people were maimed
And prominent people stood to gain
Undoubtedly they were men of fire
But even fire needs a fuel called desire.

I have a dream
And its for all to see
Mahatmas saved us
But the unsung hero was key.

So brothers and sisters next time its martyrs' day
Remember the unsung hero and say a prayer
For later in life you may be a prominent hero
But behind you, there will always be an unsung hero.
