you may never know how much 'No' means
when you hear it from someone you love
you may never know how much it hurts
cause baby it goes right to the heart
it kind of saps your soul a bit
takes you closer to that long dark pit
and it takes a lot of your inner strength
to hold on and come back from that 'end'
you may never understand how much a 'No'
can send someone who loves you close to tears
perhaps its the right thing to do
if someone loves you more than you do
and yet sometimes you could be right, i mean
maybe this is just a little dream
we will wake up someday soon and see
that it was never ever meant to be.
