Nothing is everything

i wanted to write something to give you strength
for i had sought you to be mine
i wanted to write something beautiful
in case it gets lonely sometime

i wanted to write a poem of hope
something to say goodbye
and hope is so many things
and i wanted to see you smile

i wanted to be the shoulder to whom you'd turn to
the one you’ll hurt in times of need
in times of joy i would be a friend,
in times of trouble, a steed

i wanted to return the trust i gave you
for in you, there is both purity and strength
and may they follow you like freedom
unfettered, unharmed and at ease.

i wish you be surrounded by people who love you
who will care and cherish you for who you are
i wish the battles that plague our heroes
just melt away in front of your heart

i wish you greatness and much, much love
may your spirits soar far and away
i wish you every joy you’ve been dreaming of
and may the heavens keep your worries at bay.
